Let Taschen editors examine and decompose my artistic heritage into prime factors.
In today’s post, I want to give permission to all the future editors who will be examining and decomposing my works of art to do it freely. You can interpret and comment on my artistic legacy as you want to do it. If you conclude that Adam Mazek was insane, write it. If you feel that Adam Mazek had a mental disorder, speak it aloud. I do not care at all about what comments are and will be regarding my works of art. The truth is that the only opinion I care about works of art is my own. It does not mean I won’t listen to critical voices. No. I am always keen to listen to all my critics. Still, the final judgment, whether they are right or not, will be mine, and I will do what I would want to do.
I do not care what conclusions cyber-archaeologists will have after decomposing my artistic legacy into prime factors. I do what I feel I should do. That’s why I walk and do street photography.
Moreover, that’s why I write new texts and prepare subsequent “Diaries” editions and sets of pictures, with “Negation Of The End” and “Transience” at the forefront. I feel the unspeakable desire to do all these things. Without doing, undoubtedly, part of my soul would die inevitably. I believe in myself and in every creative step I take. Indeed, each photo taken on Warsaw’s streets and newly written texts brings me closer to the world of those who live forever in posterity’s memories. That’s why I hope Taschen, Phaidon, Thames & Hudson editors will interpret all my creative works as they want. The more I write about all these things, the more I inspire myself to be a more prolific artist.
