To write this post, I am inspired because last time a new idea came to my mind. This idea is strictly connected with the Taschen publishing house.
If you do not know what the Taschen is, I strongly recommend you, my Dear Guest, to visit their website. Taschen is a publishing house. I love to read and analyze their books. Reading, watching, observing and contemplating practically all the pages in (I suppose) every their book is a real feast for one’s mind, imagination, and soul.
What exactly the books I would recommend reading? Probably all of them.
Is that mean that I read all their books? Of course not. I want to stress that all the books which I held in my hands did not fail me. Did I analyze a lot of them? As of 06.03.2019, I thoroughly read five of Taschen’s books. Books which I’ve already read are:
– “50 photo icons. The story behind the pictures.”
– “The Hermetic Museum. Alchemy & Mysticism.”
– “The Magic Mirror of Escher.”
– “Horror cinema.”
Also, I am continually reading many of Taschen’s books partially. What does it exactly mean? It means that if I want to learn about Stanley Kubrick, I reach for a book “The Stanley Kubrick Archives,” about a famous American director. Or, if I want to get to know something new about Apollo 11 moon landing, I take Norman Mailer’s “Moonfire.” Also, there is an option that if I want to get inspired by the famous Dutch painter, Hieronymus Bosch, I will read the XXL-large format album “Hieronymus Bosch. Complete works.” Speaking shortly: I possess many Taschen publishing house’s artworks.
The astonishing thing regarding Taschen’s books is the fact that these books are the source of neverending inspiration.
I can read them practically all the time, without any breaks. I believe that also thanks to them I am always inspired to make photographs and to write text.
Also, thanks to the Taschen publishing house, one idea came to my mind. I mentioned it at the beginning of this post. So what’s the plan? I will write about it in one of my next posts.
