I cannot imagine living and receiving artistic Purchase Orders. That’s why I work as an accountant, not as a photographer.
Is that mean that I do not sell my pictures? No. The fact is that, as of the 3rd of October 2020 (it is the date of writing this text), I sold seventeen images, both via Artfinder and via personal contacts. I did not sell my works by receiving purchase orders. I do not want to receive them.
For me, photography is a space where I know that I don’t want anyone to want anything from me.
Thus, I do not want to make wedding photography or business sessions for business people. My web site is my kingdom. I know that I want to do here whatever I want, not anything others want from me. My blog is my virtual space where I can fulfill my dreams to be both a photographer, writer, blogger… speaking shortly, an artist. I love the process of creating. It brings me a lot of joy in life. It is the last thing that I would like to be breached by third parties. I cannot imagine taking photos, not as I want, but as someone else would like to get them. I do not buy this option for photography.
Purchase Orders are not for me.
I never published any advertisement when I offered any kind of photography, including making portraits, business portraits, and various kinds of events. It merely does not suit my attitude towards the broadly defined artistic creation process based on free will. Is that mean that I want to criticize other photographers who live from their photographic work? Of course, not. Let them run their artistic business until the end of their life in happiness. Still, I do not want to receive purchase orders. I want my artistic freedom and independence to last until my end.
