“Hey babe, your hair’s alright.”
As David Bowie sang in his famous song, named “Rebel, rebel” – no matter how creepy, strange, and unusual you are, you are OK. I agree with that. We all should feel as much comfortable in society as possible. It is OK, to be different, to stand out from the crowd. There is nothing wrong with being a nonconformist and weird rebel.
On the other hand, I would like to add that simultaneously, it is OK if you not stand out from the crowd. Being average, the no-name human is alright. If you do not want to be outstanding, do not do it. Moreover, try not to feel the pressure of others of whatever they want you to do.
Be yourself.
We all should accept ourselves as we are. If you wish to be weird – do it, if you want to be average – do it. There were, are, and will be millions of no-name humans who are only the subject of research for historians, sociologists, and other scientists.
I think that the most important thing for all of us to do is to be as we want to be. Of course, we should remember all the time no to hurt others and not to be aggressive for each other. Moreover, I think we should focus on activities which are critical for us. We should find happiness in our daily life.
Fyodor Dostoyevsky wrote in “The Devils”: every minute of our life should be an undeniable blessing. We must make our lives to do that.
Lastly, we should focus on the things thanks to which we can develop as humans. For me, this kind of hobby is photography. I encourage you to do the same – focus on activities that you love, which helps you develop and simultaneously just be yourself.
