Today (I wrote this text on the 9th of September, 2024), I finished my biggest streak of rucking and doing street photography for five days in a row.
How do I feel? I feel excellent. Also, I feel practically all my muscles. Do I plan to ruck and shoot photos on Warsaw’s streets tomorrow to have a new record? No, I do not plan to do it. For me, it is too early to break such records. I wrote many times that proper relaxation is as crucial (or even more!) than hard work. The truth is that I do not plan to push myself to the limits. I’ve learned the importance of balance-pushing myself to grow, but also knowing when to rest. Still, what is rucking? Why do I write about it? Rucking is walking with a heavy rucksack. For five days, I’ve been taking long walks (minimum of 10k steps) with a heavy rucksack, and I added 10 kg (22 lbs) of barbell plates to it. I have been doing it since August 2024.
I do it to become a more robust human.
Speaking shortly, I want to have more strength and better stamina. I cannot wait to ruck in the freezing temperatures while walking in summer clothes. For today, I must admit I was rucking in scorching temperatures. What was the result? My www.adammazek.com t-shirt was tremendously wet. I wonder how I will feel after rucking in frigid temperatures. Will I sweat? Only the future knows the answer. Rucking brought me new stimuli in my photographic journey. That’s why I wanted and managed to ruck and take pictures on Warsaw’s streets for five days in a row. The more I do it, the more I want to do it. Still, I know brakes are necessary to remain healthy. That’s why I do not focus on breaking records. I will be trucking and doing street photography after the break.
