Today (I wrote this text on the 19th of July, 2025), I had the opportunity to walk with a heavy rucksack in a healing forest in my beloved hometown, Brok.
People know Brok for its tranquil atmosphere and therapeutic benefits. Of course, I did it because I visited my beloved Parents on this day. I believe it is a good moment to express my gratitude for all the effort you made for me. Without you, I would not be the person I am. I am really grateful to you, my Mom and Dad – I love you! Returning to the main topic of this text, rucking in a healing forest in Brok, I want to mention that it was hot today (24 degrees Celsius [75 degrees Fahrenheit]).
Still, I managed to walk over 8k steps with a rucksack that weighed 28.5 kg (63 lbs.), a weight I chose to challenge myself and enhance the benefits of my walk.
Of course, I know I was doing more steps with more kilograms on my back and shoulders in the past. Nevertheless, what I did today shows that I am not a demigod who will always be carrying more and more, but a simple human who is often satisfied with the small steps I take and who is not angry if things sometimes don’t look as they should. I try to cherish small steps, and I do plan to break my personal records every time I do something. It is simply impossible, and knowing it is true wisdom, I believe.
That’s why I was enjoying the magical atmosphere of the healing forest in Brok.
I love returning to this place. It truly gives me time for myself and contemplation of every aspect of life. It restores my energy, ensuring I can face challenges in the upcoming days and weeks. If you do not know where to travel, my Dear Friend, I truly recommend visiting a small and charming town in the north-eastern part of the Polish Mazovian voivodeship, located about 90 km (56 miles) from Warsaw.
