How? By helping me develop better endurance, awareness, and steadiness, which are crucial for capturing candid moments.
The title of this text is a quotation of my post published on the 24th of September, 2025, named “To dive into discomfort.” I remember my beginnings of doing street photography. Between October 2015 and the Fall/Winter season 2021/2022, I was the same as most other people during the fall and winter. I wore warm clothes so as not to get cold and get sick. Indeed, I was afraid of the cold. Still, a few months after I started taking cold showers in April 2021, I decided I wanted something more. I wanted to upgrade my way of doing street photography. Before that, I already upgraded it by buying the www.adammazek.com t-shirts and wearing them while doing street photography.
Then, I decided I could also be a walking advertisement for my artistic activity by wearing this t-shirt during cold Fall/Winter days.
I remember I was considering putting my t-shirt on a winter jacket. Luckily, I went extreme. I decided to walk in summer clothes in frigid temperatures. I am doing well until today (how happy I am that the Fall/Winter season is slowly coming to Poland!). During the last few years, I was wondering if I could upgrade my way of doing street photography. I did not know how to do it. Luckily, one day I was returning from my office job with 5 kg of pistachios in my rucksack and talking with my beloved Kamilka about it, YouTube AI heard our conversation and one day later it recommended me a movie about rucking.
After watching it, I told myself that this could be one of the best ways to improve my walking style and do street photography. I started my first rucking on the 18th of August, 2024, and I do not plan to finish this hard activity. I do not know if I can somehow improve my walking in the future. Perhaps only by adding new barbell plates to my rucksack, but as of now, 37.5 kg (83 lbs.) is definitely enough.
