Today I will write briefly about rules.
Do I aim to write about rules during quarantine that a lot of people must follow due to coronavirus pandemic? No. Luckily, for today (I wrote this post on the 31st of March 2020), I did not have to go to quarantine at my house. The rules about which I want to mention regarding the www.adammazek.com website. Photography and writing are usually separated tasks. The first one belongs to photographers or visual artists, the second to writers or critics. The main rules of my website are that I allow coexisting here them freely, but probably sometimes it can be an uneasy task.
Now I am wondering how many there were both visual artists and writers, existing in one body.
The first one who came to my mind is Leonardo da Vinci. Italian genius left for the posterity his notebooks. Thanks to them, humanity can read the thoughts of one of the most genius humans that ever lived. The second artist about whom I thought of is Salvador Dali. Spanish painter was a prolific artist throughout his whole life. The fact is that during ’20 and ’30, he was also a prolific writer. Today, we can buy and read his texts easily.
I aim to reach the level of the best artists that ever lived. Thus, we can see in the cases of da Vinci and Dali that visual art and writings can cooperate with each other on the highest level.
I would say that coexisting photographs and texts are one of the main rules of my artistic activity. I want to be the most prolific photographer and writer. Indeed, all these things provide me a lot of joy. Rules that visuals and writing exist on the same level, here on this website is the main thing that can help me to accomplish my task to become the most prolific artist that ever lived.
