Scented obsession.

July 17, 2023 by Adam Mazek

I must admit it – I have one scented obsession I never wrote about on the www.adammazek.com website. I will do it today.

My scented obsession is niche perfumes. I love to smell nice. For more than ten years (I wrote this post on the 1st of June, 2022), I’ve been buying some niche fragrances. These fragrances are unisex, and all people can use them. It is unbelievable how some adapt to various skins, times of day, or seasons. I will enlist today my favorite perfumes, just to let you know, my Dear Friend, which fragrances are the best for me. The truth is that I cannot imagine a day without these perfumes. Undoubtedly, it is my scented obsession.

Here we go regarding my best niche perfumes (some of which I bought twice throughout the years):

– French Lover (Frederic Malle);
– Monsieur (Frederic Malle);
– Molecule 01 (Escentric Molecules);
– Molecule 02 (Escentric Molecules);
– Oud Shamash (The Different Company);
– Sel de Vetiver (The Different Company);
– Sel Marin (Heeley);
– Cardinal (Heeley);
– 20 L’eau Guerriere (Pierre Guillaume);
– Cuir-Curcuma (Affinessence);
– Sartorial (Penhaligon’s);
– Halfeti (Penhaligon’s);
– La Couche du Diable (Serge Lutens);
– Fille en Aiguilles (Serge Lutens);
– La Tulipe (Byredo);
– Tempo (Diptyque).

I must state that all fragrances mentioned above evoke many positive feelings when I smell them. Of course, I have only some of them in my collection today. Still, I want to stress that they are worth buying if you only want to boost your smell senses.

I have one piece of advice for you, my Dear Friend.

Refrain from suggesting much from comments on the Fragrantica.com website. For example, more than three-hundred people marked the „La Tulipe” fragrance as female. Only three people thicked it was a perfume for males. I had the „La Tulipe” several years ago, and I remember that I loved this scent, and no one ever told me I smelled like a woman. I will stress it once again. All fragrances mentioned above are unisex. At the end of this post, I want to say thank you to the best Polish shop with niche fragrances – Galilu. Thanks to their tremendous knowledge of scents, I went straight into the world of niche fragrances.
