I believe that we need self-criticism to stay in touch with reality.
I do not see anything wrong in self-criticism. The older I am, the more I see and feel that self-criticism is crucial in keeping my feet firmly on the ground and developing. Undoubtedly, I always try to be honest with myself regarding self-criticism. Being self-aware, clear-sighted, and self-reflective does not mean I lack self-confidence and self-esteem. On the contrary, I believe critically analyzing one’s behavior is crucial in developing the mind. All these things do not mean I do not believe in myself and my bold ideas. Still, I know that I am only human and that I make mistakes, not only regarding my passion but my whole life. Indeed, in today’s post, I want to stress that being self-aware and clear-sighted does not have to be limited only to one’s passion but to the whole life.Â
Whenever I do something, I usually analyze if I could have done something better.Â
Of course, I am not overthinking all these things. I always remember that I have the right to be imperfect. Still, self-criticism helps me figure out what I can improve both in my artistic career and life. I appreciate people who self-criticize themselves and do not blame others for problems. I prefer to stay in touch with humans who first seek mistakes in themselves. Well, the truth is that I am this kind of person. I believe that such an attitude helps, first of all, me in life, and then also other people. If something goes wrong in my life, I always ask myself:
Did I do something wrong? Perhaps I can improve something in the future?
Undoubtedly, being self-critical helps in life. This attitude is worth practicing because it helps us develop ourselves. All these things do not mean we should stop dreaming and acting boldly.Â
