It’s been seven years of regularly doing street photography.
I wrote this text on the 2nd of October, 2022. It was a day when I realized that I’d been consistently and consciously doing street photography for seven years. Is it time to do some summarizations? I do not think so. I believe it is the beginning of my creative journey. It is no time to summarize my creative doings over the last seven years. I heard throughout my life that people change every seven years. Is it true? Perhaps, it is true. Still, I cannot imagine changing my attitude toward street photography after seven years of doing it.
I still have many cities, places, and things to photograph. Speaking shortly: I cannot imagine living without street photography.
Throughout these seven years, I have had many periods. In some of them, I was street photographing more frequently. In others, I was doing it less often. I know that the future can be similar. I feel that there will be many periods. Still, at the end of the day, I do not see why I should stop walking and taking pictures of what I encounter and see. I suppose that only force majeure (e.g., health issues) can prevent me from walking and doing street photography. I wonder how many times I will be able to walk for another seven years. I cannot wait to do it.
Today, I have to do street photographs in October, before wintertime in Poland.
I do not know how it happens, but I am enthusiastic when I think of walking in all of Warsaw’s districts. It does not matter if it will be my home district – Mokotow, Ochota, Bemowo, and Bielany. I know that we all can do photography wherever we live. I want to encourage you, my Dear Friend, to look for great pictures in your neighborhood. I have no doubts the more you try to do it, the better results you get.
