Sometimes, I imagine aliens observing the silent planet.
Often, when I see pictures of Earth, I think to myself that aliens observing our planet might think to themselves that it is a silent planet. How wrong they would be! How many unspoken thoughts, voices, conversations, shouts, and screams amidst all sorts of misery and joy here? Also, how many whispers and empty words bounce off the walls of cities? From the cosmic perspective, our planet, undoubtedly, seems peaceful and quiet. I think the same thing we could tell about other space objects that we observe, but we do not hear it anyhow. Who knows, perhaps, one day, our technological development will help us to listen to the sound of the Sun or the gas giants such as Jupiter or Saturn.
It would be a great experience to hear all these giants.
For today (I wrote this text on the 29th of April, 2024), we can only imagine the otherworldy sounds of other celestial objects. Still, what would the aliens think if they knew there was life on Earth, but they could not contact human civilization anyhow? Wouldn’t it be sad for them not to hear the Beatles’ or the Rolling Stones’ songs? I do not know about the aliens. Still, for me, my life would be simply sad without music.
A few days ago, I wrote a text stating that music inspires me.
Music did not inspire me to write this text. Still, when I see a picture of Earth on a black void background, I cannot imagine how it is possible that a lot is going on there, and there is a diversity of sounds on our tiny, little, blue planet that we used to call home. The more I travel in time and space in my imagination, the more I am glad I started and will finish my life on our beloved silent planet.
