I wouldn’t say I like to sit. Sitting makes my spine quickly begins to hurt.
Nowadays, a lot of people possess the same problem. The fact is that many humans work in the office. Thus, more and more people have to sit in the bureau for 40 or more hours. I am not an exception. Working in accountancy makes me pose for a large part of the day. Since 2015 I have had chronic back pains due to not ergonomic sitting. Well, I try to get used to such pain because, as far as I know, most office workers have the same problem.
That’s why I think walking, or swimming, is an excellent escape from the sedentary way of life.
For many years (2011-2018), I had regularly swimming. This activity helped me in my struggle against the pains of my back. Swimming is much healthier and more relaxing than sitting. On the other hand, walking, contemplating, writing down my ideas, and taking pictures on the streets possess enormous advantages over swimming. During a walk, a lot of concepts come to my mind. I can stop and quickly scribble them. Playing a visual game, looking for odd sights, and photographing them are other things I can do during a stroll. Thus, I can immortalize all these things for other people. During swimming, I did not have this possibility.
Therefore, I gave up swimming. Now I walk a lot instead.
Walking also reduced my backpains. As I walk, the creative flow in my blood seethes so much that when I return, I have to lie down, preferably with a mini nap. Cutting off from everything for around twenty minutes gives a kick for the next part of the day. During that time, I avoid sitting as much as possible. I leave this passive activity for my office work or sitting in a car.
