In the first text I wrote and published on my blog (“Adam Mazek’s Photographs”), I stated that I needed to slow down in my life.
Did anything change since that time? I published the first post on the 1st of September 2017. Text named “Slow down”; I wrote on the 17th of March, 2023. Within five and a half years, nothing changed. I still see and consider www.adammazek.com website as a place to rest, take a deep breath, and contemplate my life. I love doing street photography, writing, reading, managing my blog, and reading books. Thanks to doing all these things, I slow down in my life. Like all others, I must also take a rest sometimes, chill and relax, and forget about the rushing world.
In today’s Warsaw, life has a rapid pace.
Usually, when I go out to the office job, I am hurrying. It is a period when I feel that practically all other people rush to their job. I do not like these travels. These are the only moments when I do not analyze my surroundings visually. Why? Because I am focusing on driving. I wrote more about this issue in my previous post, “On My Way To Work.” After such hurrying, I want to rest. I must admit that since I moved to Warsaw in 2004, I feel that everything has accelerated in my life, including my tempo of living.
I suppose for many humans, the hustle and bustle in big cities is something normal.
For me, it has also become something usual. Still, it does not mean I cannot have my personal oasis where I can calm down, relax, and forget about the rushing world. My blog is my virtual place of seclusion, where I do not have to read and watch the news. The www.adammazek.com website is my fortress where I do what I want to do.
