One hundred years ago, some astronomers knew that the solar system is the only one in our whole galaxy.
Today we know that there about 500 solar systems only in the Milky Way. Every new year humans discover new similar cosmic systems. Once such an occurrence appeared, why should we think that there is only one dimension or one Universe at all? I can easily imagine people who once could not imagine that there could be billions of other solar systems and galaxies spread millions of light-years away across the giant cosmos. Are we unprepared to understand that there are different dimensions or other universes? Maybe there are infinitely many of them? I do not know all these things. Some scientists consider that in Black Holes, there are many solutions to our fundamental questions. Is it possible to transport oneself from one dimension to another one?
Undoubtedly, such speculations are made in science-fiction writers’ imagination.
I doubt if we ever know what would happen if the Black Hole would pull someone into its void. The only thing I know is that the time would slow down by becoming closer to the Black Hole. Then, our physical appearance would become disfigured (we would die shortly after getting closer to a Black Hole).
Nevertheless, in this post, I want to stress that if we presume something, it does not have to be true.
The best example we can find regarding our solar system and the fact that many astronomers were convinced that there is only one solar system across the Universe. Another great example is that many people believed that the Earth was the center of the Universe. Today we know that it is neither the sun, solar system, or our galaxy, the Milky Way, that lies in the center of the world. In conclusion, I want to stress that we won’t answer many questions, including how many solar systems are in the whole Universe and if another dimension exists. Still, isn’t it beautiful that there many riddles waiting to be solved? For me, the quest to understand the Universe is the most fantastic journey we can experience. Have good fun discovering new things!
