Why not throw all the garbage into cosmic space? Last time I thought about whether it would be ethically and economically proper to send space garbage to outer space.
I dare say that such cosmic trucks with space garbage could be useful to us. Not only because the Earth could get to rid of the trash, but they could also be sent, along with such a garbage space truck, various types of research transmitters. Such transmitters could be trying to seek to catch transmissions from outer space. By them, we could try to find contact alien civilizations. Ships with garbage could be adjusted to take photos of cosmic objects which they will be passing by. Generally speaking, I would leave it to scientists what could be put and addressed in such space trash cosmic vans.
What about the economy? Would such garbage-space traveling be profitable? Who would participate in the costs?
It would not be economically beneficial, I am afraid. Ultimately: all countries and all people would join in prices. We want to save our planet. Thus everyone should pay for such specific cosmic traveling. Is that ok ethically to do it? The answer is obvious. No. We cannot litter outer space. What would we say if aliens would ask us why we do it? I do not think whether saying that “We want to save planet Earth” would be a proper answer. On the other hand, cosmic space is so enormous that even if we try to send planes of Earth, piece by piece, to the infinite space, it would be hardly noticeable even for our solar system.
Am I rocking in the clouds?
As usual, but that’s my charm. I love to do that. The text about sending space garbage to outer space, to save our planet, is my subsequent science-fiction-contemplating fixation.
