Why should we do sports?
The answer is simple: for our health.
I will give one of the examples: myself. At the beginning of 2011, I weighed 99 kg (~218 pounds). Moreover, I am 178 cm tall (~5.8 foot). It is easy to count that I was overweighted. What’s worse, the fact is that during that time I did not see that. I just felt that my weight is ok. This state of mind lasted until the day when I got quite a severe injury. During playing football, I received the hematoma of Achilles.
The pain was agonizing.
I had to be on sick leave for almost three months to full recovery. That was the crucial point when I realized that I must do sports. I started swimming regularly. Thanks to that, I lost weight to 76 kg within one year. I combined it with a proper diet (no sugar and two, max three meals per day).
Was it worth it?
Of course! I started to feel much better. I had more energy than before. Sometimes I was feeling like a Bruce Lee. Moreover, I am sure that regular exercise helped me in my job. The best solutions to any issue I had came to my mind during swimming. It is relaxing and enjoyable. It still brings me a lot of fun, even though I am not swimming as often as I would like.
Why? The answer is simple: photography.
I am spending more and more time connected with my photo hobby (including writing blog posts). When I do not have enough time to go for time-consuming swimming, I try to substitute it by doing push-ups.
On the other hand, I see only one disadvantage of losing the weight: the less fat you have, the faster you get cold during the winter.
Nevertheless, I encourage you, my Dear Friend, to do sports as often as possible. Believe me that you won’t regret it. Be like Bruce Lee (not like Adam Mazek) and try to add this activity to your daily routine. Sports can help you also developing your passion – like me in photography.
