Today (I wrote the “Spring Equinox” post on the 21st of March, 2025), I noticed that I was doing street photography during the spring equinox yesterday.
What does it mean for me? If you have read my blog for many years, my Dear Friend, undoubtedly, you know what it means. Still, I will provide more details if you are new to my blog. Spring equinox in Poland (or in the northern hemisphere) means that the days will be longer until the 21st of June 2025. Going further, it means that there are six months ahead of me doing street photography after my office work. Days will be long enough to take photos on Warsaw’s streets after finishing work at 4, 5, or even 6 p.m. How happy I am that I have such a perspective. Also, I am deeply grateful for the journey that led me to live to see the 40th spring in my life.
Yes, I confirm. On the 29th of March, 2025, I will be 40 years old.
This upcoming milestone fills me with joy and anticipation. Am I happy because of this? Yes, I am. I hope to live another minimum of 40 years together with my beloved Kamilka. I love you! The truth is that I cannot imagine living without you. Also, I hope to live to see at least 40 years of doing photos on Warsaw’s streets. Of course, I do not know what the future holds. Maybe I will be hit by a car tomorrow, and that will be the end of my story. I think the perspective of spring and extended daylight brought to my soul a large dose of optimism.
As a curiosity, I will add that I hope that freezing temperatures won’t disappear in the long days. It can be cold in Poland not only at the beginning of March but also in April or even in May. Still, even if hot summer days hit Poland sooner than expected, I would treat walking in scorching heat as a challenge similar to walking in summer clothes in freezing temperatures.
