We seek stabilization and order in our lives.
Seasons and Earth ostensibly give us the order of things. But is that true? After all, the Universe is constantly expanding with unimaginable speed. We feel we inhabit a stable and ordered space, which is invalid. Everything is in constant flux. It is not only the case that the rotating Earth revolves around the Sun within one year. Sun is also revolving around the Black Hole, the center of the Milk Way Galaxy. Water on our planet is also in eternal motion.
Panta Rhei – said the ancient Greek philosopher, Heraclitus.
Everything flows, with time at the forefront. Is stabilization in our lives inadequate? Let us seek no stabilization. I believe we should expose ourselves to threats that will kill or make us stronger. Undoubtedly, we should do it in a controllable way. One of the best ways to do it is to stress one’s body. How? By working out, exposing one’s body to cold (e.g., by walking in frigid temperatures in summer clothes and taking cold showers), and intermittent fasting (I eat only between 7 p.m. and 12 p.m.). The older I am, the more I see that stabilization is an illusion.
Everything changes. I do not want stabilization.
The truth is that I do seek fantasy only in broadly defined art. Stabilization is something ephemeral. Even if it appears in one’s life, it usually flows away. As Benjamin Franklin said, death and taxes are the only sure things in life. I would add that inevitable parts of human existence are changes and wars. It is not only the case that the Sun revolves around the Black Hole, which is at the heart of our galaxy, within 226 million years. The fact that each day I get up and challenge reality shows me that everything changes. Each day is the first day of your life. I create street photos and texts every day from scratch. There is no place for stabilization here.
