In this text, I want to encourage you, my Dear Friend, to start listening to yourself.
The truth is that in the post named “Trust your body, mind, and soul,” I already wrote to trust one’s body, mind, and soul. Was I wrong on this point? Of course not. In today’s post, I want to emphasize that I unexpectedly started to have closer contact with myself thanks to intermittent fasting and freezing showers. As a result, I feel like I have better insight into everything I sense. I started listening to myself clearly. The message that I wrote in the text “Trust your body, mind, and soul” is still, without a doubt, actual. By using intermittent fasting, I proved myself that I listen to myself. I unconsciously felt that I did not have to eat as much food as before starting intermittent fasting.
Thanks to Dr. Jason Fung’s and Jimmy Moore’s book, named “The Complete Guide to Fasting,” I now know how to eat smartly.
The truth is that my body was sending me signals that I should eat less, but I did not know how to do it!
I was afraid that if I stopped eating, I would get sick quickly. How wrong I was! Now I know that I will eat only between 7 p.m. and 12 p.m. or even during a shorter period. Is it safe? Of course. I do not feel hunger. I listen to my body. This body says something like: if you do not want to eat, do not do it. Before I started intermittent fasting, before going to work every day, I ate a banana at 7 a.m. I remember that there were many days when I was not hungry in the morning. Speaking shortly: I did not want to eat this banana.
Still, I was convinced that it was better for me to eat something than not eating.
I was wrong. I did not listen to myself. Thanks to the book mentioned above, I must admit that I should listen to my body better. I recommend, my Dear Friend, to start listening to yourself. If you have doubts if intermittent fasting is for you, I recommend reading Dr. Jason Fung’s and Jimmy Moore’s book mentioned above.
