In street photography, storms are much more dangerous than frost.
I wrote this text on the 15th of October, 2023. It was the day I saw my inspiration written on the 2nd of July, 2023. During summer, I noted that storms are much more dangerous in street photography than frost. Why did I decide to come back to this specific thought from the past? I do not know. After all, today, we have parliamentary elections in Poland. Perhaps I should write about politics. I will only write I voted, nothing more. I do not feed my mind too much with politics. I prefer themes like weather. So why are storms much more dangerous than freezing temperatures for me? It is because they are much more hazardous. One can wear warm clothes when it is freezing outside and not used to frigid temperatures. In this case, cold temperatures are not dangerous.
On the other hand, this situation can be truly hazardous when it is stormy and one is outside in the forest, field, or mountains.
Thunders can hit all of us easily during storms. Do you know how to decrease the possibility of being struck by thunder, my Dear Friend? As far as I remember, one should turn off the mobile phone, hide it, and find the lowest possible place to hide (but never under a tree!). Then, one should put one’s feet together, crouch, and pray for mercy from the sky. I’ve never had hazardous problems with storms while doing street photography. I always try to avoid it as much as possible. When I see in the weather forecast, it will be a storm, I do not go to try my luck in facing storms. I much enjoy observing thunders from my house windows. I wish you, my Dear Friend, not to face storms in your life.
