I must admit I have a lot of stress – mainly in my office job.
I wrote many times on the www.adammazek.com website that I do not want to write about politics, war, or my office job. Still, I must admit that stress is an inseparable part of people working in a broadly defined world of finance. I feel stressed, and that’s the way it is. I know that without intermittent fasting and exposing my body to cold, I would not be able to handle stress on one of the highest possible corporate levels. While writing about all these things, I started to wonder whether I should write about something meaningful not only for my contemporaries but also for future generations.
Writing about my current office job is not an issue. Still, writing about stress, indeed, is.
In today’s text, I want to assure you, my Dear Friend, that intermittent fasting (I eat between 7 p.m. and 12 p.m.) and exposing the body to cold (I do it by taking cold showers and walking in summer clothes in frigid temperatures) help you to overcome stress. Still, they won’t solve all our problems. We must remember it. Undoubtedly, we must stress our bodies in a controllable way to overcome much greater external stress that will appear in our lives sooner or later. Much greater stress appeared in my office job, and I must accept and face it.
Even if I “lose,” I should learn from it, bear this “defeat,” and tell myself that life goes on.
Undoubtedly, there are three ways of controlling one’s body. To the two mentioned above methods (intermittent fasting and exposure to body cold), I would probably add the most popular one: working out. For today (I wrote this text on the 8th of January, 2023), I walk a lot and stretch my muscles by hanging on the stick.
