If you try hard something, but you fail, it is much better to stop and take a rest.
Advice for today (I wrote this text on the 23rd of January, 2022) is that rest is as fundamental as hard work. Do not neglect, my Dear Friend, the power of relaxation. Do not escape from it. Even if hard work stuck to your mind and blood that you cannot imagine your life without work, remember that you must adequately rest daily from a biological point of view. I always try to sleep correctly, that is, as much as possible, but I often shorten my sleep duration in practice. I know that it is a wrong attitude. The XXI-century hardworking man already forgot that taking rest and sleep is crucial to our well-being. Do not be like me, my Dear Friend.
Do not neglect one of the most precious (luxurious?) activities we can do for ourselves.
I often try to overcompensate for the lack of my night dream by taking short (from 20 to 60 minutes) naps during the day. Still, I do not know whether it is a proper attitude towards relaxation. I have no doubts that doing intermittent fasting and exposing my body to colds are beneficial to my well-being. Adequate rest is also very crucial. All these things must serve us. Thanks for doing it; we improve our health and well-being. Undoubtedly, doing some workouts and creating something from nothing are other things that help us live long in health.
I write all these things and repeat them because I want to reaffirm that I should do them to remain in excellent physical and mental shape. If you wish to help others, my Dear Friend, remember to help yourself first. If you are in good condition, undoubtedly, you can help others. Resting in everything you do is one of the most fundamental issues regarding helping oneself and other humans.
