It happened almost one year since I started to take regular cold showers. I started doing it regularly in April 2021. In general, for most years of my life, I was taking showers in the evening. Starting from the 21st of March, 2022, I plan to change my habits in this case. Undoubtedly, it is much better to take cold showers in the early morning. What does it look like in my case? Before my office job, I wake up at 6.10 a.m. A few minutes later, after I drink and give fresh water to our lovely kitty Azorek, I am standing in the shower cubicle.
I always start cold showers with warm water, but every time I wash down, I end with the coldest-possible water.
Rinsing water is the most frigid 80-90% time. Only the beginning with warm water lasts dozens of seconds. After such a freezing shower, I always feel reborn and regenerated. It is helpful, especially during the early morning. When I was sometimes taking a freezing shower at 11 p.m. I was so awakened that I did not want to sleep until 1 a.m. That is one of the main reasons why I decided to switch the time of taking cold showers. Many people who practice taking cold showers recommend taking them in the morning. The truth is that after such a cold shower in the early morning, I do not remember I wanted to sleep fifteen minutes earlier.
