As I sat down with my thoughts, I challenged myself to write a text within the next ten minutes, capturing the essence of my day.
I wrote this text on the 4th of May, 2024. I started writing it at 11:45 p.m. Because I was very sleepy and wanted to go to bed, I decided to push and force myself to write this text within the next ten minutes. I did not know about what I wanted to write. I did not have a specific topic. Also, I did not have time and energy to read my thoughts from the past, which I titled in my private e-mail as “blog inspiracje” (EN: “blog inspiration”). Because I had a little writer’s block, but I wanted to eternalize this moment, I decided to write each word that popped into my mind and give myself ten minutes to write subsequent text. Why I was tired? After all, it was sunny Saturday.
During the first part of the day, I chatted with my beloved Kamilka and read many books, including Marcel Proust’s “In A Search Of A Lost Time.”
Then, went to do street photography in the Wlochy district. I took ~180 pictures and made ~12k footsteps. After coming back home, I took a cold shower. Then, we went to the Tajik restaurant in Mokotow, ate supper there (indeed, it was my first meal during the day), and walked with my beloved Kamilka. That’s how I made on that great day more than 17k footsteps in total. When we returned, we were both tired.
Still, from the beginning of the day until the moment of writing this text, I reaffirmed, not the first time in my life, that I am a happy man who does not need fortune, luxuries, and fancy cars to be happy. When I can devote my time to my Kamilka and my passion: reading, walking, doing street photography, and writing, I feel like a free man who does not need anything more to be happy. This is the end of my text. Did I manage to write it within ten minutes? Yes, I did it. Good night.
