I must admit that I do not track the number of posts written and published on my website. Still, the fact is that the last time I noticed that post “Do not treat yourself seriously” was the 500th post published on the www.adammazek.com website.
To prove that I do not track the number of posts daily, I want to say that the 500th post was published on the 26th of September 2020. I noticed it on the 19th of October 2020. The current text (“It was the 500th post on the www.adammazek.com website.”) is the 630th text. I wrote it once, and I will write it one more time. I do many things not to be disturbed by numbers and amounts connected with my artistic passion. The truth is that I do all my best not to be confused by them. I have enough numbers during my accounting job. The fact is that I do not need them more in my artistic hobby.
Let’s kick the numbers out of the art!
Thus, I do not plan to celebrate either the 500th and 630th posts on my website. Sometimes I wonder if I want to celebrate any amount that appears on my website. I suppose that I won’t honor any numbers. Why? The crucial issue regarding my creative hobby is not the result in itself but the process. I am focusing on the creation process, and it is the thing that I want to devote my artistic time, passion, and energy to.
I do not plan to celebrate the numbers, whether the 10.000th published post or the gained 100.000- USD.
Amounts are critical in the budget, financial statements, or in broadly understood accounting. When I take street photos, I do not calculate, and I do not expect any number to appear before my eyes. While taking photos or writing new texts, the crucial issue is the joy of creating and having fun, not numbers connected to it.
