Today (I wrote this text on the 11th of October, 2024), I will write about the best medicine for chronic diseases.
The truth is that anyone can afford the best medicine for chronic diseases. So, what’s this powerful tool? It is fasting. Fasting is not a diet. It is a lifestyle, a way of living. I’ve been intermittent fasting since Christmas 2020 and intermittent dry fasting since July 2024. The latter means that I do not eat or drink anything (even water or coffee) until 7 p.m. Also, I try to avoid processed food. The last time I heard on Dr. Eric Berg’s channel was that eating too frequently is responsible for 80% of chronic civilization diseases, with cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes type 2, or depression at the forefront. Luckily, I do not have any health issues. I hope this status will last until my final days.
I try to prevent myself from getting chronic diseases by fasting.
It is one of the best medicines we can all use. After all, it’s for free! I hope that adding to the cold therapy (I have taken cold showers since April 2021 and walk in summer clothes in freezing temperatures) will only boost my resistance to civilization diseases. Moreover, I hope that rucking will also strengthen my ability to remain a powerful human. Rucking is walking with a rucksack with an additional load (since the 18th of August, 2024, I have walked and done street photography with an extra 12 kg [26 lbs] of barbell plates).
For example, today, I took 12k steps with such a load.
Still, I think that fasting is a fundamental way to prevent oneself from chronic diseases. If you do not believe me, my Dear Friend, you better trust Dr. Jason Fung’s book, which I read after starting intermittent fasting in 2020. Its name was “Complete Guide to Fasting: Heal Your Body Through Intermittent, Alternate-Day, and Extended Fasting.”
