It is cliche. Still, it is true that the creation of the world takes place every day.
I wrote this text on the 29th of October, 2024. It was a usual day here in Warsaw. After waking up, I look out the window of my flat. The weather was gloomy, but the colorful yellow-greenish leaves on the trees reminded one thing. They reminded me that spring and summer will return after dark autumn and winter. It will be a time when plants, animals, and humans are being reborn, literally and figuratively. I asked myself a question whether I had to wait for the season’s change to feel recreated. The answer that appeared in my mind was that I do not have to wait for another season to feel like a new man, a person who is more self-aware, compassionate, and resilient.
Undoubtedly, with each day after waking up, I can start my life from scratch.
By this, I mean that I have the opportunity to approach the day with a fresh perspective, leaving behind any negative experiences or emotions from the previous day. It is only up to me to decide how I will influence the world today, or how to change myself to be a better version of yesterday. I think I have had pretty nostalgic texts during the last few days. I suppose that the season’s changing highly influenced my mood to a reflective one. It’s already a period when the days are short for me, and it is more difficult for me to do street photography after finishing my job.
Do I want to complain about it?
No. I will have more time for writing. Also, I plan to do some walking (rucking, to be more precise) in the evenings to feel the chilling cold outside. The truth is that I always try to focus on the positive aspects of my life, not the negative ones. This focus on the positive has been a key factor in maintaining my optimism and resilience. In the same way, every time I wake up, I will ask myself how to change myself for the better version, so that I will feel that the world’s creation takes place every day.
