The last day I took photos with a Nikon D-90.
Luckily, as of today (I wrote this text on the 8th of August, 2025), I still have not taken my last photos with a Nikon D-90 camera.
I decided to write this text because in one of my posts from the past (entitled “At last!”), which I wrote on the 13th of October, 2024, and published on the 8th of August, 2025, I wrote something like this:
Perhaps it was the last day I took photos with a Nikon D-90.
Why did I write something like this? It was because on the 13th of October, my Nikon D-90 was soaked in the rain and stopped working. For more details, I recommend reading the “At last!” post. Still, the truth is that since I wrote the “At last!” text, I’ve already bought two (!!!) Nikon D-90 cameras from the second-hand online market. Why did I do it? I did it because I’ve already written a text where I stated that the Nikon D-90 was an extension of my arm. That’s why I bought my second Nikon D-90 in October 2024 and the third one in July 2025. Currently, my first Nikon, which I purchased in February 2012, is not working.
The same is true of the gear that I bought in bulk.
Today, I am using the Nikon D-90 that I bought in October 2024. I hope I will be using it for at least the next decade (the first Nikon I used between February 2012 and July 2025). The third copy is my potential substitute for the second one. I also bought it with the same gear. Knowing that I still have 25 years of working ahead of me until my retirement in 2050 (I am forty years old), I quietly hope that the second and third Nikon D-90 will be serving me until my retirement. Perhaps then I will change my camera to another model, but for now, I am hopeful for the future with my trusted Nikon D-90s.
