I wrote this text on the 22nd of June, 2025, while in the Latvian town of Liepāja, knowing that it would be our last day of feasting here.
I know I’ve been writing about feasting (for me, it means eating from morning until evening [including sweets] and drinking alcohol) throughout the last few days. After all, I made myself some kind of experiment, the same as I did in 2024 during our stay in the Estonian town of Pärnu. It is connected with practically non-stop drinking and eating for seven days. In general, if you read my blog regularly, my Dear Friend, you know that I do intermittent fasting (I do not eat earlier than 7 p.m.) and avoid as much as possible eating processed food (I focus on eating meat, vegetables, eggs, and nuts).
Still, during our stay in both Pärnu and Liepāja, I made a 180-degree change.
I eat whatever I want and drink many beers. What are the conclusions of my experiments? I have no doubt that the natural state of one’s body is feeling insatiable. Also, it is unhealthy to drink alcohol all day, every day. The last statement I wrote is, I believe, clear. We all know alcohol is harmful. On the other hand, most of us receive daily information on what we should eat regularly, with the best intake every two hours. Do not believe it, my Dear Friend.
Human organisms do not differ significantly from the bodies of our primordial ancestors, who lived 200,000 years ago.
From the evolutionary point of view, 200k years is nothing. Our ancestors, throughout the ages, had to face periods of hunger. During those times, did not have fridges where they stored the food. Additionally, during long and cold winters, there were periods when they literally did not have enough food. Still, they survived. Do not eat that much, my Dear Friend. I am finishing this writing to enjoy the last day of feasting in Latvia.
