I wrote this text on the 6th of April, 2024. In the morning I read a lot.
I started with Marcel Proust’s “In A Search Of Lost Time,” and then I switched to two Taschen books: “Dark City. The Real Los Angeles Noir” and “The Marvel Age Of Comics 1961-1978.” After reading these books, I went for a walk to do street photography. I took more than 12k steps. While walking and enjoying the warm and sunny weather, upcoming spring, and extended daylight, I thought I wanted to write something profound and groundbreaking that future generations would like to read. I wondered what topic I could raise to write something meaningful.
Then, I recalled something I knew earlier: the more profound and groundbreaking the text I want to write, the worse my results. That’s the way it is in my case.
For me, it happens quite frequently that the more I want to do something, the worse results I have.
I think many people have the same issue. That’s why I decided to not write anything unique and meaningful but to simply enjoy the day and the possibility of walking and enjoying the mundane reality that I love. I believe it is one of the wisest things to share with others. Seize the day because tomorrow you may die. Most people do not cherish the possibility of walking or writing, expressing their thoughts. Also, many people forget that they live with someone they love but frequently forget to tell their partners about tenderness. I am not an exception.
I want to tell my Kamilka that I love her more often. As you can see, my Dear Friend, I did not write any groundbreaking insights today. I recommend simply cherishing your life as it is, being grateful for everything you have learned, and hugging the people you love. This could be as simple as taking a moment to appreciate a beautiful sunset, or expressing gratitude for a delicious meal.
