I am continually searching for inspirations and new, photographic experiences in my city – Warsaw.
First of all, during our day-to-day routine, we often forget how an everyday moment can be a priceless muse. Moreover, even our ordinary neighborhood can genuinely inspire us. In my project, I decided to stop and find the beauty in the mundane parts of my strange but inspirational city. Of course, the name of the city is Warsaw.
Above all, the capital of Poland has an incredible history. Most noteworthy is the fact that historians estimate losses in the urban architecture of the city at the beginning of 1945 at around 84%. For that reason, it is the city which survived its death.
Warsaw is the symbol of the bravery for most of the Poles.
During my explorations, I found that engagement and focus on my daily life in the city provided a unique reward. Thanks to that, I was able to discover new, phenomenal kind of “inner, urban worlds.” For me, these “worlds” are placed in the capital of Poland.
Finally, this work embraces and elevates the seemingly mundane landscape of our day-to-day life into the new, undiscovered artistic dimensions.
