The power of fasting.

October 9, 2024 by Adam Mazek

Today (I wrote this text on the 6th of September, 2023), I will write about the power of fasting.

I started writing this text at 9:00 p.m. It was the 33rd hour of fasting. I ate exceptionally yesterday at 1:00 p.m. at work. Then, I realized I wanted to fast a little bit. The truth is that I gained a little weight within the last weeks. I ate too much fruit during that time. Now, I want to fix myself a little bit so that I will not eat within the next 24 hours. That’s how I plan to fast 57 hours. How do I feel after posting for 33 hours? Great! I do not want to eat. By fasting, one improves one’s relationship with food. Sounds strange? Undoubtedly, in times of mindless consumption, when we are bombarded by information, we should eat often and much.

Still, I know I cannot do anything better for me than fasting.

While writing text, I simply feel the power of fasting. In today’s post, I want to share my knowledge and experience regarding fasting with you, my Dear Friend. I want to encourage you to at least try to do it. Most people living in broadly defined Western countries in the third decade of the XXI century confuse appetite (placed in our mind) with hunger (I do not think I know what real hunger is). The power of fasting should realize this issue. Intermittent fasting, undoubtedly, helped me know it.

How do I do intermittent fasting daily?

The first meal I eat at 7 p.m. I avoid eating as much processed food as possible. As I mentioned above, it is also better to restrict eating fruits. Undoubtedly, we can eat meat, nuts, vegetables, and eggs. For now, I will go to sleep with an empty stomach but with a light heart, mind, soul, and body.
