When I first saw one of the images captured by Kamilka, I was struck by its power. I was inspired to christen it “The Weapon of Mass Creation,” a title that encapsulates the profound impact of this visual on my creative journey.
When did Kamilka take the picture? It was on the 13th of November, 2022. Where did she shoot the titled image? She did it in the Kabaty Woods (a woodland park in southern Warsaw, Ursynow district). I wrote this text on the 11th of September, 2023. It was a day when I was looking for inspiration to write a new text based on my past experiences. That’s when I stumbled upon this picture in my e-mail. The moment I saw it, I was struck by a wave of inspiration and decided to name this photo ‘The Weapon of Mass Creation.” You, my Dear Friend, know what the weapon of mass creation is. It’s my camera. I might have written a similar post in the past, entitled ‘The Weapon of Mass Construction.” Still, I see no harm in revisiting the topic and sharing my thoughts again.
How do I mass-create?
I do it by taking hundreds or even thousands of photos on Warsaw’s streets monthly. Also, I write dozens of texts monthly. While writing all these things, I asked myself why I did it. I must write it shortly: I do not know. Still, I feel free and happy when I realize I do not have to know everything happening around and in my head. The only thing I know is that broadly defined art influences many creative, curious, and open-minded people. I want to be one of them.
That’s why I constantly ask myself many questions, even if I know I will never receive an answer. Or, perhaps I could write that silence is the answer. I love the woods’ silence. When I come to a forest, whether a wild White Forest in Brok or the one in the Kabaty, I always know I am closer to God or whoever created this magnificent world.
