In the world of art, there are no losers. Everyone who creates something out of nothing is a winner.
For me, art is not a sport with winners and losers. It does not matter whether you win a contest, unlike Mundial, where everyone, including Kylian Mbappe, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Leo Messi, wants to be the best and win a trophy. Still, I believe art has its own rules. One of the most crucial rules for me is being creatively active. It does not matter whether you take street photos, write, dance, paint, draw, or sing. If you do it and participate in the eternal creation process, you are a winner, my Dear Friend. It does not matter whether you will be recognized worldwide. For me, the most intriguing and curious are works of art (whether these are notes, drawings, photographs, etc.) made for many years but without any public splendor, money, or limelight.
I wrote many times here, on the www.adammazek.com website, that I always forget about money when I do street photography or write new texts.
I do not care if I will earn money on my passion. That’s why I work in a broadly defined world of finance. It has allowed me to remain an independent artist since I started regularly and consciously taking pictures on Warsaw’s streets in October 2015. I do not care about my potential clients’ opinions because, for me, money is not a measurer regarding art. There were many examples of artists who were not popular when they lived. Their works became famous worldwide after their death. That’s why I do not care and bother if someone buys pictures from me. The process of creation is something that really counts to me. Those who create something out of nothing are the winners. I hope, my Dear Friend, you will also be creatively productive for as long as possible.
