Last time YouTube reminded me about one of the most astonishing songs of AC/DC band, “Thunderstruck.”
This happening also reminded that the vocalist of AC/DC, Brian Johnson, and famous (for Poles) vocalist Kazik Staszewski had and still have a problem with hearing. They both could lose their hearing through their passion and profession. I would not like to make a career at the expense of health. On the other hand, I can imagine that a passion, commitment, and love of music unconsciously led those artists to health issues.
The fact is that in 2005, I had been training Muay-Thai for four months. I gave up for three reasons:
a) leg injury;
b) studies;
c) I was afraid that if I train Muay Thai, I will become the second Muhammad Ali.
Does this mean that I was afraid of a global career? No. I was scared of becoming a vegetable in old age. Speaking shortly: I try not to expose myself to any maxima, hazardous situations. I cannot imagine myself devoting, for example, my sight to the passion. I believe that one of the most precious things most of us possess is health. We should take care of it as much as possible. I do not wish anyone to be thunderstruck in any possible way. Ok, maybe except hearing AC/DC’s titled song “Thunderstruck.”
Do I think that both Brian Johnson and Kazik Staszewski were devoting their sense of hearing consciously? I do not think so.
I believe that for most of the time of their careers, they were not aware of their health issues.
Summarizing: I try to make my life as peaceful as possible. I do not want to devote my health to a career. What I hope to possess until the end of my life is the love of my beloved ones, health, passion, and peace in the soul. I wish all these things also to you, my Dear Friend.
