You do not have to wait for anything to start to make better pictures. You already possess all the necessary tools. It is your imagination. I treat this particular power of the mind as a muscle. Indeed, the brain is somehow a muscle.
We should train it.
What’s better, we already have all the necessary tools to train the imagination. It is our body. We do not need any additional, external elements or things to do this. I am sure that we can develop our brains wherever we are. We can do it, for example, in our home or the neighborhood.
How? Simple. By analyzing what we see.
I will give you an example. Look at my four pictures added to this post. They are all made in the same place, on one street in Warsaw. We all can stand in one place for a minute, staring in one direction and analyze how we can make a picture of what we see. We can try to imagine how we can present our scenery in photographs. Is it better to crop the photo after we shoot it? Maybe if we “crop” it in our imagination, e.g., to the square format? Would it be better if this image will be in color or B&W? Perhaps we should eliminate something from the frame?
It is the exercise of our imagination. Take notice of how we can train and “stretch” it.
I am sure that thanks to that, we are getting smarter and mentally, “fitter.” We are developing, and we are starting to see the world as a kid. We are beginning to observe the world in another way. Moreover, we are getting more confident and empowered because we are beginning to see more than others. We are analyzing what we see. Additionally, we start to play with it, and the only tool is our imagination.
I encourage you to shut down the computer or smartphone right now and start to observe and analyze your surroundings. “Stretch” your mind and believe me that sooner or later, you will begin to see “more.”
