Tiredness.

November 10, 2021 by Adam Mazek

After work, I often feel simultaneously mentally tired and vigorous, in a physical sense. The fact is that tiredness is a common phenomenon for all working people.

But how does it happen that I feel both tired and energetic after my work in the office? The answer is trivial. After 8 hours of work at the computer as an accountant, the mind wants to rest. The best, to take a rest would be a short nap, closing one’s eyes, “cutting yourself off” from the outside world for 20 minutes. Indeed, I love to take a snooze after my work.

On the other hand, after sitting in a chair for 8 hours, then driving home by car (the next 30 minutes of sitting per day), my body, including my legs, desires to move. In the past, during the 7 years of my life (between 2011 and 2018), I used to go to the swimming pool very often after work to swim. The fact is that it was the time when I experienced similar feelings regarding tiredness.

Today, the swimming pool is replaced by walking, mainly with a camera in hand. It happens primarily during spring and summertime.

Still, the fact is that I gave up swimming in the swimming pool, and it happened before the COVID-19 pandemic. I did it because I could not simultaneously work, swim, and taking photos. The level of fatigue would be too high for me. Moreover, I would not have time for anything else in my life. I do not like to be tired, the same as most of our population.

Nevertheless, I am convinced that tiredness is an inseparable part of humans’ life. We should merely try to adapt and get used to the feeling of being tired (especially if you live in a big city, if you work in a global corporation and if you have a hobby).
