I think that most of us ask themselves these questions practically every day. I believe that it is possible to both be and have.
There are a lot of examples where we can find people who managed to both make a career with a well-paying job and possess a hobby thanks to which they fulfilled their dreams. Albert Einstein, for example, discovered and developed in his mind one of his famous particular theory of relativity (STR). What is very interesting in this case is the fact that he did it while working in the patent office in Bern, the capital of Switzerland. On the other hand, famous American writer Charles Bukowski was working on the post office for a dozen years. This fact would not be as significant unless we realize that for all these years, he was creating- writing his novels and poems.
I work in Finance as an accountant. This job provides me a salary thanks to which I can cover my expenses. I do all my best to be and to have.
Simultaneously, in June 2018, I finished my artistic school regarding my biggest passion, which is photography.
At this point, I would like to say thanks to all of my colleagues from the school, and especially to two of my teachers. I plan to write more about them in separate posts in the future. Again, I want to stress is the fact that it is possible to have a stable job, and at the same time developing your passion. It is only up to you how you cope with this issue. Maybe I am not the perfect example of someone who indeed exists and possesses. But, remember Einstein and Bukowski. They are one of the cases that proved it is possible to both be and have. Also, they demonstrate that we can invent, create, and develop during our leisure time.
