Practically, while doing street photography, I always aim to see something where there is seemingly nothing.
For me, there are no wrong places to take photos. The more mundane and ugly, the better. It’s in these seemingly dull places that I find a unique frame to capture. It’s a moment when street photography feels like child’s play. The more I do it, the more I desire to do it. I wrote this text on the 29th of June, 2024. It was scorching in Warsaw. I managed to walk “only” ~7.5k steps. Still, I took many photos. The weather forecast says it will be 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) tomorrow. But even in such heat, I’m excited to discover the beauty in the streets of Warsaw.
I think I will be boiling during my photo walk. Perhaps I will do fewer steps than today. Still, I want to try to walk at such a temperature.
Undoubtedly, I will follow a shadow path (like I did today).
I will take water with me, put a cap on my head, and try to take some shots of Warsaw’s streets. As usual, I will try to see something where there is seemingly nothing. How happy I am I live in Warsaw’s Mokotow district in the third decade of the XXI century and that my neighborhood, for tourists, for example, does not bring as many things to see as other parts of the world. That’s why I have no doubt that I live in the best place in the world, and I want to realize my soul in street photography. I hope, my Dear Friend, you also cherish your neighborhood and try to capture as many great photos of where you live as possible. Keep your fingers crossed for my street photography tomorrow! Undoubtedly, I will have fun while doing it.
