Last time I asked myself when my personal transformation into an artist happened.
After a few minutes of thinking and analyzing, I realized that I had been an artist my whole life. Moreover, I would say that each of us is an artist. It is only a matter of consciousness, practice, and environment that can make every human aware that one is also an artist. I do not doubt that there is a potential to create many things in all of us. In the third decade of the XXI century (I wrote this text on the 7th of December, 2021), social media websites, with Instagram and Facebook at the forefront, prove to us that most people can take artistic photos.
Undoubtedly, it is only a matter of conscious using tools (it does not matter if it is an analog or digital camera or smartphone), practice (the more you do something, the better you become in this activity), and environment (I can imagine that in poorer countries it is much harder to focus on broadly defined creative activities). That’s why I believe that transformation into an artist happens in many people’s minds and souls throughout their lives.
I am not an exception in this case.
I have loved taking pictures since I received a digital camera from my beloved parents on my 18th birthday in 2003. Yes, my Dear Friend, in my private collection of images, the oldest ones I took in 2003. Sometimes I wonder whether I will publish some of them on the www.adammazek.com website. Perhaps I will do it. Still, I know I will have to have a reason to do it. For today, I do not see any reasons. The truth is that I do not doubt that in 2003 I was already an artist, but rather an unaware one. Ok, I’ll stop writing. It is dark outside, and the temperature is -4 degrees Celsius (24 Fahrenheit). I want to take a walk to cooler myself. How? By wearing summer clothes, a winter cap, and gloves.
