In the world of Art, a mathematical equation “two plus two” does not have to equal four.
Still, in the world of economics and accountancy, two plus two will always be four. I decided to write this text because I had some thoughts regarding the worlds of Art and accountancy last time. I believe that one of the best things for the Artist is to also do something that has no relation to Art at all. Of course, I write about this issue from my perspective. The truth is that I must earn on living as an accountant. I do it to live and to manage the www.adammazek.com website. Still, I feel that crisscrossing from the world of creation, where nothing has to be obvious, to the world of mathematics and numbers, where the balance sheet must equal zero, is the activity that helps me in all my doings.
Speaking shortly: I rest from photography and writing while in the office.
On the other hand, when I do street photography in Warsaw or write texts like the current one, I take a rest from Excel sheets. For some time, I thought being an accountant disturbed my creativity and prevented me from taking pictures. Still, the older I am, the more I see, know and feel. That’s why I know that the balance between working as an accountant and being a highly-creative person is something I desire because it helps me work on all my abovementioned things. The “two plus two” mathematics equation must equal four in the office. There is no discussion or argument with it.
Still, in terms of doing street photography, writing new posts, preparing subsequent “Diaries'” editions and collections of pictures like “Negation of the End,” “Inspired by Tolkien,” or “Big Brother, part I,” nothing has to be correct with mathematics or other parts of science.
