In one of my previous posts, I mentioned the quote made by Zdzislaw Beksinski. A famous Polish painter said that art for people is like vodka given to the convict.
Drinking alcohol stupefies us. Alcoholic drink falsifies reality. Thus it helps us to survive in this world. For me, this kind of statement is a sad, almost tragic vision of life. Nevertheless, Beksinski’s comment is precious and attentive information. In general, I would agree with the commentary given by a famous Polish painter.
On the one hand, art gives us joy, the same as vodka. It also provides the relaxation and development of the mind and imagination, both creators and consignees. Art can enrich people for new experiences. It opens new dimensions in our souls.
Moreover, it can open the eyes of our wisdom for new things. Often these issues are hard to assimilate for us. Also, they can be uncomfortable for us. Nevertheless, art moves us forward in contradiction to vodka, which only degenerates us. Vodka (or the alcohol as a whole) indeed stupefies us. Drinking alcohol makes us dumb, lazy, and in the long term, it destroys our body, mind, and soul.
Alcohol for people is some trickster. It pleases us for a few hours. But, then we can have a lot of trouble after drinking it.
In general, the one thing in life is fair. It is the fact that all the people who lived, live, and will appear in this world will die. Thus, vodka and art have one common thing – they help us survive. Nevertheless, drinking vodka will bring only troubles in the long term. It will trick you. Of course, art also is a trickster. It will cheat you. But, it will develop us, and indeed, it can help us to survive in this world. Vodka will destroy your inner world, relations with your loved ones, and your surroundings. Eventually, it will damage your health.
In conclusion, I want to remind you that we, the people, should, in general, focus on creation. We should try to make something from nothing. Drinking vodka and alcohol as a whole will bring only damages.
