Two days ago (I wrote this text on the 6th of December, 2022), I was walking in cold temperatures for two and a half hours.
It was my personal record. It was a cloudy Sunday in Brok. Before the Poland-France football game on Mundial, my beloved Dad and I walked to the cold forest in Brok. The temperature was 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit). Still, the fact that snow and ice were in the wood proved that the temperature was -1 degrees Celsius (or even -2). We walked and chatted with my Dad for two and a half hours. After twenty minutes of walking, I decided to take off my winter jacket and walk only in a t-shirt (with a winter cap, gloves, jeans, and boots).
Still, the walk duration was enough to state that my fingertips hurt at the end of our walk.
Did I enjoy the walk? Yes, of course! After all, I could talk with my beloved and wise Father, whom I immensely love. We love walking and talking amid the beautiful forest in Brok. Did I have any trouble walking or chatting due to the frigid temperatures? No, I did not have. After all, I did not think it was cold and should feel it. As I mentioned before, only at the end of the wandering my fingertips started to hurt me.
While writing this text, I checked what the weather forecast foresees for upcoming days.
Within the next seven days, it should be even -5 degrees Celsius (23 degrees Fahrenheit). I still haven’t walked in such low temperatures during the Autumn/Winter 2022/2023 season. I cannot wait to do it. Undoubtedly, thanks to taking cold showers and walking in frigid temperatures, I can symbolically go out of my comfort zone practically every day. It is something that makes me harder in various ways.
