What is my photo walking style? I always try to pretend that I am going somewhere and I have my own purpose of walking.
Does it mean that I have such a goal? Usually, I do not have the aim of where I want to go. That is one of the most enjoyable things when I think of taking photos on the streets. It is a moment when I feel totally free and go practically in all directions, without a specific aim. At the same time, while wandering, I try to take pictures, by the way, casually. While walking, I do not pretend to behave like a spy, burglar, or murderer. I always try to imagine that I am an alien who had just landed on the planet Earth. Thus, everything that surrounds me is curious for me. Can you imagine yourself, my Dear Friend, landing on the alien, inhabited planet? I often do it. While doing this, I know that everything surrounding me, even the most miniature items, would be curious for me.
Indeed, wandering with a vast amount of curiosity in my soul is my walking style.
I do not want to behave suspiciously. The fact is that I always try to walk quite fast (relatively faster than average passers-by). If something (bird, piece of trash, graffiti, tree, etc.) catches my eye, I photograph, and then I walk as I would be coming back to my mundane routine. That’s my walking style. I try to behave like a tourist even in the most boring places in Poland’s capital. What about you, my Dear Friend? What is your walking style? Do you behave like a spy, like a tourist, an alien, or maybe you possess your own unique way of doing street photography? Without a doubt, there are many ways to take street photos.
