He who lives by the sword shall die by the sword. That’s why I decided to become an Internet troll.
When did I decide to troll? Since the war in Ukraine broke up, that is on the 24th of February, 2022. Before the Russian army invasion started, l heard many times that the Russian government pays trolls worldwide to share, e.g., fake news that could be helpful and useful for the Russian government. I often heard that the Russians have many superiorities in cyberspace over all other countries. Today (I wrote this text on the 15th of March, 2022), I often read that some things have changed. I already wrote about the hackers’ group named “Anonymous,” which took control over, among others, the “Roscosmos,” a Russian state corporation responsible for space flights, cosmonautics programs, and aerospace research.
Other things that “Anonymous” did for the world’s good side is the site www.1920.in. Thanks to this site, people worldwide can become Internet trolls and start sending messages (e.g., SMS or e-mails) to private Russians’ telephones and smartphones with translated anti-war messages. Since this website launched, I began to send at least one SMS per day. Till today I did not receive any answer from the Russians.
Moreover, I started trolling the Russian embassies’ accounts on Instagram and Facebook.
I do it by adding stories to my accounts when I usually add a crying Putin’s head. There is always something terrible happening with his head. I tag the Russian embassies from all over the world. Some of them saw my stories. I am glad about it. You can find a few examples of these stories in this post and others from the “War in Ukraine” series. That’s how an average Internet user became and blogger became an Internet troll. I have no doubts that I do it for a good cause. I merely hope that Putin will die soon.
