Sometimes I want to break away from reality.
The Polish football players accomplished the challenging task and qualified for the Mundial in Qatar.
I wrote this text one day after my 37th birthday, which is on the 30th of March, 2022. Polish football players gave not only to me but also to the whole Polish nation a magnificent present on my birthday. They defeated Sweden in a FIFA World Cup playoff final qualifying game. The Polish players managed to qualify for the Mundial in Qatar. I wrote about this fact because I somehow tried to avoid writing about the war in Ukraine. For me, the fact that Poland won 2:0 against Sweden was positive information. I hope there will be much more similar information, first of all, regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine. I wrote some posts about Polish football players earlier. The truth is that I like to watch football games on TV. While doing it, I often prepare subsequent posts to be scheduled.
Now I wonder against whom Poland will play in one of the biggest sports tournaments.
Moreover, I wonder if Ukraine manages to quality to the Mundial in Qatar. Their game against Scotland (as a part of the playoff qualifying game) had been scheduled for June 2022. I do not have to mention that it happened because of the war in Ukraine. I hope that in June 2022, the battle between Russia and Ukraine will be over. Why do I write about all these things? I write about football because I somehow try to write less about the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
I want to break away from reality.
Still, like you see, my Dear Friend, I cannot escape the war as a theme even while writing about football. I suppose that it will be happening in the following months. The truth is that I already wrote that war is like poison. I also feel poisoned. Still, I have the luck that my beloved Kamilka, my parents, my whole family, and my friends are alive and safe.
