Last time I heard an interesting theory regarding watching photographs from vacations. What was theory?
We tend to take hundreds or even thousands of pictures while on holiday. Everything is new and fresh for our senses when we are present in new, e.g., exotic places. Our eyes consume everything they spot around us. Mind is curious, and the same is with regards. That’s why we take many pictures during vacations. We want to freeze our impressions and memories on images. Still, what about watching all the photographs after returning from holidays? Do we observe them? Is our family following them?
In many cases, yes, we share such images on social media. Still, do we print them? Do we watch them from the first until the last one? The theory I last heard of is that many people do not print and watch their pictures from vacations.
They remain on the digital version in cards.
Moreover, I heard that some people dislike watching such pictures. Observing them can quickly bore many people. When I heard all these things, I realized I love watching my pictures from Warsaw’s streets. I do not know how it is possible, but doing street photography and monitoring and analyzing my photos simply does not bore me. I wrote this text on the 8th of October, 2022. It was a day when I knew I had been doing street photography for seven years. I cannot imagine that my images would ever bore me.
Of course, I do not know what the future holds.
I can be wrong in my predictions. Still, it is hard for me to imagine that I would resign from doing street photography. I wonder, my Dear Friend, whether you watch your vacations from the first images to the last ones. I think I’ve never watched from the first to the final pictures from my holidays.
