I wrote the title of this text on March 31st, 2024, while lying in the sun in my hometown of Brok.
It was the day I came to my beloved parents’ home one day earlier. I remember being tired for a long month when I was, among other things, preparing the financial statements at my office job and working overtime. When I was at home in Brok, I knew I could relax 100%. After our long walk in the so-called White Forest in Brok, we returned home and relaxed. Because it was a sunny day and it was warm enough to lie in summer clothes outside, I decided to warm up my old bones in warm, early spring sun rays. When I lay down and closed my eyes, I asked myself:
What do I see when I close my eyes?
Indeed, I noticed that while lying in the warm sun with my eyes closed, many flashbacks appeared in my imagination. Undoubtedly, my memory started to work on another level during that time. I remember that many flashbacks, both from relatively close and far past, appeared. I wrote many times here, on the www.adammazek.com website, that we should not overthink the past and too much worry about the future. We should live in the present moment. While lying and seeing flashbacks from the past, I realized I was living in the present moment because I was chilling 100%. Still, the flashbacks that appeared in my imagination were like pieces of many movies.
Sometimes, my movie called life is funny, and sometimes it is not.
But it’s undeniably unique, a journey unlike any other. Undoubtedly, the best film I’ve ever seen is everything I see and hear during my days. Even if my life seems dull and mundane for most people, I do not doubt it is one of the most remarkable pieces of movies humans could ever imagine. I believe your life is also one of the best movies you have seen, my Dear Friend. I hope you also see great things after closing your eyes with your own personal and intimate film.
