This post is the forerunner of a series of texts where I try to answer a simple question of why I do all my artistic activities.
I plan to answer six questions starting with „Why?” Last time I heard that, for many people, it is hard to answer simple questions. Thus, I decided that I would challenge myself and try to answer six seemingly effortless questions. I know that there will be repetitions in these posts. Still, I never know who and when would start to read my blog. Thus, I do not see anything wrong with repetitions. So what will be the questions?
Here they are:
- Why do I take pictures?
- Why do I walk a lot? Is it only because I stopped swimming?
- Why do I write?
- Why am I managing the www.adammazek.com website? Did I want to do it since the beginning of my life?
- Why do I prepare „Diaries”?
- Why do I prepare sets of photographs, like „Negation of the End,” „Birds,” or „Death?”
As we can see, these are simple questions, but I am not sure if the answers will be simple. I find answering on six questions written above a challenging task. Undoubtedly, I can answer all those questions:
I do it because I merely love to do it.
Still, I hope that I would provide more complex answers. While writing this introductory post to the series named „Why?” I see that all the answers can be similar to each other.
Nevertheless, I will try to develop my answers a much as I can. The more I think about these questions, the more I am convinced that it is, indeed, hard to answer uncomplicated questions. Without a doubt, it is a challenge for me to answer these seemingly apparent inquiries. What would be my tactic to provide answers? As usual, I will try to write spontaneously and straight from my mind and heart, without overthinking.
